You'll begin your tour with a pick up from your hotel or cruise port in Funchal. Your driver/guide will take you to visit Camacha, known for its wicker and folklore. You'll then start your way up to Pico do Areeiro, located at 1818 meters, being the second highest point on Madeira Island.
You'll find a panoramic view of the central mountains of the island which is a perfect stop to take your beautiful photos. This is the starting point to one of the islands most famous levada walks that take you to Pico Ruivo, the islands highest point at 1862 meters. You'll also be able to visit Ribeiro Frio Forest Park as well as a trout farm.
Next, you'll head to Santana, where you can find the famous thatched roof houses “Casas de Santana”. Machico is the next stop on the tour, the first city that Portuguese discoverers disembarked in 1419 when they discovered Madeira. The tour ends with a small visit to Santa Cruz before being dropped off at your hotel or cruise port in Funchal.
