Well before sunset, your van arrives to pick you up from your Ayers Rock hotel and take you to an elegant outdoor dining area situated in a desert clearing. You are welcomed with a glass of chilled sparkling wine and a spread of Outback-style canapés, served on a viewing platform that overlooks Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Take in the changing colors of the sunset over Kata Tjuta and Uluru as you nibble appetizers, sip wine and hear the sounds of live didgeridoo. Keep your camera handy for great photo ops.
As the stars come out, make your way to your dinner table, elegantly laid out with white tablecloths, candles and heat lamps nearby to keep the chill away. Seated with other visitors from around the world, dine on a 3-course bushtucker-inspired buffet with dishes that may include Australian delicacies such as kangaroo, barramundi, crocodile and quandong (a native fruit). Attentive waitstaff come to your table to refill your wine glasses with unlimited Australian wine and beer throughout your meal.
