The canyon, which was recently discovered in 2003 by two European scientists, is one of the geological marvels of Nicaragua.You will be picked up from your hotel in Managua at 8am and will be taken to the canyon. You will have different route options, though in all likelihood you will probably need to take a dip in the river.
Depending on your fitness level, you have options for longer or shorter tours. The canyon is just 15 km away from the town of Somoto, famous for its "rosquillas" (doughnuts), a native snack made out of corn. After visiting the canyon, you will take a tour of the rosquilla factory in Somoto. Afterwards, you will be driven back to Managua.
