Relax under the shade of a coconut tree and enjoy excellent snorkeling at Anse Chastanet Resort in St Lucia. On this full-day tour, sprawl out on the volcanic sand beach of Anse Mamin while taking in prime views of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Piton peak rising out of the sea. Explore historical plantation ruins and snorkel in a wonderland of colorful fish swirling around diverse communities of coral and all manner of sea sponges. Lunch and transport from most Soufrière and Castries hotels are included. After hotel pickup, take a 50-minute powerboat ride down St Lucia’s coastline toward the town of Soufrière. Arrive at Anse Chastanet Resort on the southwestern coast, a 600-acre (243-hectare) estate bordered by two volcanic sand beaches, Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin, which overlook glittering bays. You'll spend the day at Anse Mamin beach.
Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome and orientation of the resort’s facilities, before heading to your designated comfy beach chair, where you can do a whole lot of nothing in the shade of palm trees. Admire views of one of the Piton peaks, volcanic spires covered in lush greenery, looming side-by-side at 2,526 feet (770 meters) and 2,438 feet (743 meters) high respectively, an area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

When it’s time to snorkel, on-site staff will provide all necessary gear, a life vest and a safety briefing, and then lead you to the best spot to explore the underwater world that day, depending on current conditions. The reef options in the area offer fun for both beginners and more experienced snorkelers alike, with depths ranging from 20 to 140 feet (6 to 43 meters). Encounter various types of reef, including brain, finger, flower and leaf coral, along with tube, barrel and vase sponges, home to tropical fish and crustaceans.

Tuck into a delicious lunch at the resort’s Jungle Beach Bar & Grill (vegetarian options available).
Afterward, stroll behind Anse Mamin beach through a jungle into tropical gardens and stand before the beautiful ruins of an 18th-century French colonial plantation, the backdrop for a final rose ceremony episode of The Bachelor. Take a guided tour of the estate, including a variety of historic ruins, or wander down a historical or nature trail at your own pace.

After showering and freshening up, camp out on your cushy, shaded beach chair until it’s time to be taken back to your hotel.
