Meet your expert driver-guide near Piazza della Repubblica in central Florence. Then, settle into your air-conditioned Mercedes minivan and head south into the Tuscan countryside.

After a roughly 1.5-hour journey, stop at the hilltop town of Montepulciano, famed for its vino di nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano wine. Next, call at one of Montepulciano’s historical wine cellars, set beneath a medieval palace. Hear how it belongs to a winemaking family that was one of the founders of vino di nobile, and taste some of the varieties produced here before traveling on to a winery near Montalcino.
