This Northern Lights tour is custom made for a small group of people in the winter landscape of Iceland. Your guide is an Icelandic professional photographer and a tour guide with years of experience. After being picked up from your hotel at 8pm, you will be driven out away from the city lights and into the countryside outside of Reykjavik. Your transport is a comfortable 4x4 truck modified with bigger tires than usual to better manage the Icelandic terrain.
At the guide's chosen location you will be assisted with your camera settings and your tripod if necessary to be able to capture photos of the northern lights, if they are visible. Usually the tour is 4 hours, and at around midnight the tour guide will drop you back off at your hotel.
Seeing the Northern Lights depends entirely on the right combination of weather and Aurora activity, but if the weather is preferable for seeing the Northern Lights the tour will go ahead.
You should bring warm clothes, a flash light or a head light, your camera with fully charged battery's and a tripod to make the best of the tour.
If the weather forecast turns out to be bad for seeing the Northern lights you will be contacted before 6pm on the day of travel, and the tour will be rescheduled to another available night.
This small group tour will be a more relaxed and flexible experience.
