Start your experience with a pickup from your centrally located Muscat hotel and ride your air-conditioned vehicle to the departure marina. Board your boat and settle on deck as you sail on to the Gulf of Oman. Soak up the sun and admire Oman’s mountainous coastline as your captain steers toward a prime dolphin viewing location.
While sightings aren’t guaranteed, there’s a great chance of spotting the wild pods. Watch spellbound as the dolphins frolic in the waves, ride the surf around the boat, and perhaps even leap and spin in the air. Admire their grace and speed, and keep your camera ready to record the best moments.
Look, too, for some of the whales that visit these waters. Depending on the season — October through to May is best — you may spot humpback whales or even rare false killer whales. As you scan the waters, refresh with included mineral water and soda.
After your dolphin quest, sail to one of Oman’s sheltered bays for a snorkel and swim. Get a safety briefing and then use the supplied equipment to explore the undersea world. Waft through the shallows over colorful coral reefs, swim past tropical fish, and watch for the sea turtles that sometimes come into the bay. Alternatively, just enjoy a cooling swim.
After a 1-hour stop, cruise back to the marina and enjoy a transfer back to Muscat, where your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.
