After early-morning pickup from your Maui hotel, enjoy a light morning snack and begin your journey by luxury 8-seater limo-van to Haleakala National Park and the Hana Coast rainforest.
Travel through the picturesque Central Valley for 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pickup location, and ascend to the pinnacle of Haleakala National Park at 10,023 feet (3,055 meters). When you arrive at the visitor’s center on the rim of the Haleakala Crater, marvel at breathtaking panoramas and enjoy countless photo opportunities before descending along the scenic mountain drive.
See cattle and dairy ranches on the way to the Hawaiian paniolo town of Makawao, which still has hitching posts from back when horses were more common than cars. Today, this quaint, rustic town is home to an eclectic group of little shops and boutiques, which you can browse during your free time here.
In between sightseeing, head to a scenic location -- depending on the weather and the group's preferences -- to relax and enjoy a gourmet Pacific Rim lunch served on linen tablecloths. Indulge in delectable dishes like grilled chicken, seared ono, organic mixed greens, vegetable pasta salad, fresh fruit and a fudge brownie.
After lunch, travel east through Ha’iku, whose grass is a beautiful emerald green. See bountiful avocados, citrus fruits, bananas and exotic flowers growing in the countryside before arriving finally at the spectacular Hana Coast rainforest. Get out and stretch your legs and explore stunning waterfalls and bamboo forests, soaking in the tropical atmosphere.
Hop back in the limo-van and continue on the Road to Hana, along the rugged Pacific coast, to the farming community of Ke’anae. Here, walk around and discover a traditional way of life that has endured for more than 500 years.
On your return journey, stop by Ho’okipa Beach, which reigns supreme as the world's premier windsurfing beach. Get out and feel the cool ocean breeze, and catch a glimpse of talented windsurfers putting on an aquatic show!
You'll arrive back at your Maui hotel in the early evening.
