After pickup from your Avignon hotel in the morning, set off by air-conditioned minivan to Aix-en-Provence, a chic little town in the heart of Provence. Your guide will lead you on a walk through Aix's charming streets to the city center, where you’ll spend time browsing the wares of a popular market.
Continue driving to the beautiful Valensole Plateau, an area bursting to life in the summer with fragrant lavender fields and almond groves. Drive along picturesque roads lined with golden wheat and lavender prairies as far as the eye can see, and make stops along the way to capture the scenery on camera.
Spend time exploring the village of Valensole. Enjoy the heady scents of lavender and thyme as you walk the streets, and shop for lavender flowers and essential oils at the quaint boutiques.
Your last stop is the L'Occitane museum and store, located just outside of Manosque. On your guided visit, learn about the history of the L'Occitane brand and about the production of its high-end cosmetics and essential oils, which are made with local flowers and plants. You’ll have a chance to purchase some products at preferential rates at the end of your visit.
Return to Avignon in the evening, passing through more of the Provençal countryside on the way.
