Departing from Reykjavik in a Super-Jeep, the first stop is Thingvellir National Park where Iceland’s ancient parliament was situated.
As you head to Haukadalur, you’ll be able to see the famous Geysir hot spring and Strokkur erupting every 5 to 7 minutes and spewing boiling water into the air at heights of 25 to 30 meters. Spend some time walking through this area to experience the dramatic mid-Atlantic ridge before heading eastbound on the mountain road to Lyngdalsheiði.
