Once everyone’s on board, the group will head out of downtown Siem Reap and drive to the beautiful countryside area. There, you will cycle along the red soil roads through some splendid villages at a very light and relaxing pace. After the ride, take a small break to get a refreshing and well-deserved drink.
Afterwards, visit of one of the most impressive floating village in Cambodia, Kompong Khleang. Board a boat and discover the village and the astonishing flooded forest. Come lunch time, you will be taken to a stilt house in the village to share a typical Khmer lunch with friendly locals. Once you have finished lunch, get back on board to reach a pagoda located on an island where you will walk by the monk school and observe monks in their day-to-day routine.
Head to the Vietnamese floating village next. The houses there are built on floating objects and therefore float on the Tonlé Sap. The Vietnamese village moves along the river, and sometimes up to the lake, according to the season which is something you’ve most likely never seen before. See the floating school, hospital and local shops. Then, get back on the bus and start driving back to Siem Reap through other rural villages. Stop in one of them so you can get to interact with villagers. Anticipate a 5:00pm return to your Siem Reap accommodation.
