It provides the perfect opportunity to explore the scenic and picturesque Costa Brava North, where Dalí lived and painted, his Theatre-Museum in Figueres and the natural park of Creus Cape.
The tour departs at 8.30am from your hotel or apartment in Girona. Start the journey by going to Dalí’s Theatre-Museum in Figueres, “the world's largest Surrealist object”. Built in 1974, the Dalí Theatre-Museum is considered to be the last great work of Salvador Dalí. Everything in the museum was designed by the artist to give visitors a real experience of his life. This visit lasts approximately 2-hours and includes a tour of the Dalí Jewels Collection, containing precious stones and 39 gold jewels of the Owen Cheatham collection. There are also drawings and paintings on paper that Salvador Dalí made for the jewels designs. Dalí’s Jewels are also on show, which represent an extensive collection made by the artist between 1941 and 1970.
The tour leaves Figueres at 11.00 am and stops in the Creus Cape Natural Park, a peninsula located at the far northeast of Catalonia, just 16 miles south of the French border, in the municipal area of Cadaqués. The peninsula has an extraordinary landscape that is a very rocky, dry region, with virtually no trees, in contrast with a seaside full of minuscule creeks. The mountains are the eastern foothills of the Pyrenees, the natural border between France and Spain.
Visit the village of Cadaqués, so often reproduced in the Dalí paintings, and see the breathtaking scenery of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus forged by the sun and the north wind.
The tour also includes the Empordàlia Cellar with D.O. Empordà regional wines where you can taste the wines, olive oil and products of the land.
