Your tour starts from the Beijing West Station. When entering the station, you need to present to the conductor your passport, China Visa, Tibet Travel Permit and train ticket. Then start to enjoy the memorable trip. The train departs at 20:10.

Day 2: On the Train to Lhasa
Today, on the first full-day, you will pass through two important provincial capitals in northwest China: Lanzhou and Xining. Traveling along on the train, you will be able to enjoy the incredible scenery of the countries in Northwest China.

Day 3: Lhasa Arrival
Today, you will witness the most beautiful scenic view on the Qinghai Tibet Train. After arrival, your tour guide will meet you at the train station in Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa (B,D)
After having breakfast, your guide will drive you to visit the splendid Potala Palace: the cardinal landmark in Lhasa. You will have a whole morning to explore the world-level architectural work: the White Palace, the Red Palace, the corridors, stairs and countless lama’s dormitory. Then, continuing to browse the Jokhang Temple, which is another UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterwards, you will go to the Bakhor street next to the temple, it is filled with pilgrims and street vendors, they usually sell the traditional Tibetan items such as prayer wheels, jewelry and more.

Day 5: Lhasa (B)
You will visit two great monasteries of central Tibet: the Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. The Drepung Monatery was the central government until the 5th Dalai Lama built the Potala Palace to replace it. If you visit at the right time, you can also get a chance to watch the monks debate the Buddhist scriptures.

After eating breakfast, you will be transferred to the train station or the airport if you need.
