On this tour, you will meet local farmers in Tokyo and experience a part of their daily lives. Farmers are a very important local component in Japan, and you will feel the real life in Japan by listening to their life stories and experiencing their day. You will also have the chance to try an organic lunch that is freshly harvested and cooked on the spot!
The farm you will be visiting is called the "Nijiiro garden (Rainbow garden)", and it is about a 1-hour drive from Tokyo. You will meet up at the local tour provider's office that is about a 10-minute walk from the Harajuku station at 10am and move to the destination by car.
Once you arrive at the farm, a Japanese local farmer will be your guide for the day. The number of participants is limited to 8 people, so that hospitable service is ensured for each participant. There will be a translator to help you communicate with the farmer.
You will spend around 3 to 4 hours at a farm doing different activities such as harvesting organic vegetables, and cooking lunch with them. You will also get the chance to sit down with a host and ask him any questions you may have. This trip allows you to truly connect with the locals by diving into their real life in Japan.
After the tour, you will head back to Harajuku station to get back to the bustling city life.
