You will know better and understand the life of this special people called Uros, you will do differents cultural activites like cutting reeds, artisanal fishing, construct a representation of the islands and much more.
We’ll pick you up from your hotels in Puno (10:00 am) and drive you to the back of Hotel Liberators, where we will take a motor boat which will take us to the famous Uros Floating Islands (around 30 min) and then proceed to settle in the comfortable rooms. Local families will give us an explanation of the construction, traditions, and way of life of Uros islanders.
After lunch, we’ll travel on a boat made of reeds to put fishing nets (fishing), then we’ll see how to cut the reeds (for the construction of the same islands, handicrafts, etc.). Likewise, the islanders themselves will teach you to create your own crafts made from reeds. At night we will have a dinner, we’ll make campfire and then we’ll rest on the Uros floating island!.
Next morning, we’ll proceed to pick up our fishing net and see the diversity of native fish of Lake Titicaca. Then we have breakfast and finally around 9am return to Puno.
