Most of the morning is spent climbing with a few fun single track sections to show you what you’re in for after lunch. Climb through the pine trees, usually riding past the entertaining local Chacma baboons and always on the look out for the elusive Caracal (or Linx).
The climb from Silvermine dam gets the heart racing but the views from Noordhoek peak (760m) are unrivaled and make the effort more than worth it. This is a great place to get your bearings as you take in the back of Table Mountain, look down onto Hout Bay and across the Cape Flats where you can peer towards the Southern tip of Cape Point. From the top cruise down the 6km long downhill to Silvermine dam to enjoy a well deserved lunch on the banks and maybe go for a swim to cool down.
The afternoon is spent riding mainly downhill, you can be guided to the best trails in Tokai. There is something for everyone here, from the flowing ‘Mamba trail’, to the technical switchback trails.
