Join this private shore excursion to Pisa and Florence by Mercedes air-conditioned minivan. The vehicle can fit up to eight passengers and comes with an English speaking driver. Free Wi-Fi on board available. You will be picked up by Livorno once you confirm your desired departure time.You will be pickedup at the port at the time arranged. Your driver will be holding a sign reading your name. You'll first take a 30-minute drive to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower and the magnificent buildings in the Miracle Plaza, the Cathedral and the Baptistery. It is possible to climb the tower (entrance fee is 18 Euros per person not included) with a ticket purchased in advance. You will spend approximately 1-hour in Pisa.
The tour will then head to Florence, Tuscany's highlight. Before reaching the city center, stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, a hilltop terrace from which you enjoy a beautiful view of the whole city. Go downtown on a walking tour to see the cathedral, one of the biggest in the world, as well as the Palazzo Vecchio, the center of the political life, Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge on the Arno River with its pictoresque gold shops, Santa Croce, where Michelangelo, Galileo and Macchiavelli are buried. You will have time to shop for the world famous leather goods made by local artisans. You may consider a visit to the Accademia Museum where Michelangelo's David is host, or Uffizi, a world class picture gallery famous for Renaissance paintings (entrance fee 16 Euros per person not included). You will spend approximately 4-hours in Florence.
On the way back to the port, you may make a detour to the countryside to stop at a winery to taste wine, olive oil and local produce, such as salami, ham and cheese. The visit is lead by the owner and lasts 1-hour (10 Euros per person not included). The drive back to the port is about an hour long.
