Two day shore excursion from Kusadasi and Istanbul port. In Istanbul, you can visit sites in the Old City and during your stay in Kusadasi, you will visit sites in Ephesus area.This is a perfect tour for cruise ship guests in Turkey, as you will visit sites in two main ports, Kusadasi and Istanbul.
In both ports, your guides will meet you at the pier. You will then be transferred to sites areas. These are the sites you can visit (depending on your interests and available time):
In Istanbul - Hippodrome (of Constatinople), Haghia Sophia (former Christian basilica, later a mosque and now a museum), Blue Mosque (a historic mosque famous for its blue tiles adorning its interior), Topkapi Palace (the major residency of Ottoman sultans), Basilica Cistern (the largest ancient cistern in Istanbul) and Grand Bazaar (one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world).
In Kusadasi - Ephesus (well known, ancient greek city), Terrace Houses (houses of rich Ephesians), Temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world), Basilica of St. John (a basilica in Ephesus constructed by Justinian), Ephesus indoor Museum (with the artifacts from various periods of Ephesus history) and Virgin Mary`s House (a catholic and Muslim shrine; it is believed that Mary, mother of Jesus, spent her last years there).
After each daily tour, you will be transferred back to the port. Transport between Istanbul and Kusadasi is not included.
