Visit the Grand Palace complex and learn about the history of the buildings and Kings of Siam. See Bangkok life from the water by taking long tail boat along the bustling Chao Phya River and the quiet canals.Meet your guide at approximately 8am (can be flexible depending on arrival) at the Laem Chabang Port. From there, drive approximately 2-hours to Bangkok where you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, head for Bangkok’s most-visited attraction: the mighty Grand Palace. The vast temple complex is an icon of the city, and home to a stunning array of Thai-Buddhist architecture. Explore the intricately-carved sculptures, glowing-gold temple roofs, and myriad of artwork adorning the walls and ceilings of the many buildings - most of which you can enter, just as long as you keep relatively quiet! Follow your guide’s lead to see ‘Wat Phra Kaew’, a separate temple home to the highly-revered Emerald Buddha. This priceless statue holds great significance for Thai Buddhist nationwide and dates back to the 14th Century.

After your lengthy stroll, hit the water and embark on a tour of Bangkok’s famous network of canals on the Thonburi side of the river. Set off on-board Thailand’s iconic ‘long tail boat’, whisking you around the quaint klongs that once earned the Thai capital the name ‘Venice of the East’. Along the way, look out for Wat Arun, another magnificent temple that towers over the river, with its central spire reaching 79m in height.

Once the day is complete you will return to Laem Chabang Port.
