The tour starts at Peniche near the rocks that ripped apart the Spanish Frigate San Pedro de Alcantara in 1786 - This is where will learn about the journey, the treasure and the cargo of prisoners.
Next, a visit to the small beach used as a burial ground for the crew, passengers and prisoners from the ship.
Then we "invade" the powerful fortress of Peniche: Visit the archaeological exhibition and learn about the forgotten Elizabethan army that disembark here in 1589.
Not far away we lunch near the fishing port. A delicious 3-course meal will give us strength for the ride to Foz do Arelho to visit the resting place of the British steamer SS Roumania sunk here in 1892.
We finish visiting the resting place of some of the passengers of the ship. This is a perfect day to get way from the city and learn history as to take advantage of the magical seacoast. Book now!
