This shared full day cultural tour takes you to the highlights of the historical center of Quito until the Equator line. This city is listed in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage archive. It's founded in the 16th century on the ruins of an Inca civilization (Tahuantinsuyo) and stands at an altitude of 2,800 m. Quito has one of the most well preserved and beautiful Colonial architecture in Latin America, its churches, squares and museums tell fascinating stories about the Ecuadorian lifestyle in the 15 hundreds. The visit to the Intiñan equator Middle of the World museum will give you accurate knowledge about the French Geodesic Mission that located the Equator line and the Earth’s magnetic forces in real-fun interactive demonstrations.

You'll stroll through the lovely streets and plazas of the “Old Town”. After a local lunch “almuerzo” you will go to the equator line. This is a drive of approximately 45-minute and you'll visit “Ciudad Mitad del Mundo”and The Intiñan Museum.

7:50/8:00am: Leave from Plaza Foch in Quito at 7:50am or from The “Old Town” location at 8:00am to start of the tour.
8:30am: Plaza Grande and San Francisco Church
9:30am: Government’s palace, The Compañía Church, Museum of the City and The Ronda street
1:00pm: Local Lunch
2:00pm: Visit to The Panecillo view point (Virgin’s Mary monument).
3:30pm: Equator Line Museums
6:30pm: Back to Quito’s meeting point
