In the morning, meet your guide and small group at the Hongdae subway station in Seoul, where you’re picked up and transported by minivan to Hangang Park. This vast riverside region is a popular recreational spot for local families and provides multiple sports facilities for water skiing, yachting, boating and fishing.
Upon arrival at the kayak center, you can change into any necessary clothing, including a provided life jacket, before your 30-minute lesson begins. Settle into your vessel on the shore, and practice paddling strokes and other techniques taught by your kayak instructor.
Next, enter the water for your 2-hour kayaking tour that takes you along the gentle Han River, which crosses the middle of Seoul. Rain or shine, you’ll follow your guide at a leisurely pace along a portion of one of Korea’s largest rivers.
Discover where natural landscapes meet the city's dense urban development, and view landmarks such as Ttukseom Hangang Park, Olympic Park, and the Seongsudaegyo and Jamsil bridges from the water. Pass COEX Mall, the Lotte World Tower and the skyscrapers in the financial district of Gangnam.
After returning to shore, where locals picnic and ride bikes along the restored riverbank, enjoy a cup of noodles and use the shower and changing rooms to get back into dry clothes. You tour ends when you’re taken back to the Hongdae subway station.
