The first stop is Otranto, the most eastern city of Italy, a “bridge” between East and West, a place rich in history, art, culture and Caribbean beaches. You can start with the visit of the Aragonese Castle, a defensive stronghold of the city, a real masterpiece of military architecture and today a place of culture. The interior of the castle is in fact the site of interesting exhibitions that the public can access free of charges.
After visiting the castle, you can do a walk in the old town, a maze of narrow streets and alleys, the oldest and most characteristic part of the city. A stroll down the narrow streets, which occasionally give way to the azure sea views, you are transported back in time, with small houses, plots of stairways, green courtyards, and shops of handicrafts and local crafts.
To refresh yourselves from the walk, the chaffeur will be a stop for lunch at the Farm "Le Creste", an ideal place to eat healthy and genuine products in contact with nature. Here we will taste typical dishes of the Apulian tradition in a warm and friendly atmosphere, a safe place to recharge.
As the last stage, you can choose between a former quarry of bauxite or Punta Palascia or both!
The former quarry of bauxite is almost lunar environment created by the presence of a former quarry used to extract the 'red ore' which has formed an emerald green lake that makes the view simply extraordinary. The color of the water creates a fascinating contrast to the surrounding rock walls, which shine with a beautiful deep red. The landscape is surrounded by vegetation with its bright green creates a wonderful place to visit at least once in their lifetime.
Punta Palascìa, which creates a meeting point between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. From there you can enjoy a breath-taking view characterized by a beautiful lighthouse, known as one of the five most important in the Mediterranean, that stands out among the rocks and overlooks the vast almost never-ending sea.
