This self-guided kayak tour is a fun, leisurely way to explore the river and enjoy a day outdoors!Have fun on the Saco River with this self-guided kayak trip in North Conway! You'll be shuttled upstream with your kayak gear to the starting point, from which you'll begin your 5 mile paddle back to the base and parking area.
The Saco River is perfect for first time and experienced paddlers alike. It features crystal clear, meandering waters that average 3 feet deep, lots of sandy beaches, some rope swings, and views of the Moat Mountain Range, Cathedral Lodge, Mount Washington, and an array of birds, plants, and wildlife.
Pack a lunch and plan to take some paddle breaks along the beaches. In the summer months, stay on the shore for awhile and take a swim in the water!
The 5 mile kayak tour takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the number of breaks your group takes along the way. You'll complete your tour back at the base, where you can return your gear and complete your day!
