Want to bike the Golden Gate Bridge?! We will provide everything you need (such as a well-maintained bike, map, helmet, lock, and local directions) to start your bike adventure in San Francisco. Just bring your camera and have fun!Pick up your bike from the beautiful Marina district, only less than 3 miles away from the famous Golden Gate Bridge! Depending on your plan and destination, we will suggest you the best bike routes to avoid hills and traffics. You will be provided with helmet, u-lock, map, and some safety tips. We have different sizes of bikes and we will personally adjust the saddle to fit your height.
The bike path to the Golden Gate Bridge is only 3 blocks away from our Lombard street shop, and it is mostly flat. You will be biking along the waterfront and enjoying the views of the San Francisco Bay. You will pass by Fort Mason Park, Crissy Field, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Point, the Golden Gate Bridge, Vista Point, and the Marin Headlands. This 3 -5 miles bike ride is scenic and relaxing.
On the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, about 2 miles biking mostly downhill, you will reach Sausalito, the world's famous water front town. You can dine, shop, and rest in this beautiful little town, and take the ferry back to Fisherman's Wharf or Ferry Building for $11.5 per person with the bike. Of course, you can always skip the ferry and cycle back at no cost. This whole trip will take about 3-4 hours, and it will be one of the best things you can do in San Francisco!
You are free to bike around the city and visit other attractions such as the Golden Gate Park and Union Square. You can keep your bike for up to 24 hours with no additional charge. Please note that a security deposit will be required in store. An optional $4 insurance will be provided and it covers any repairable damages on the rental equipment, as well as roadside assistance. Have a peace in mind and enjoy your ride!
