Cruise the magical city of Barcelona while having fun gliding the Segway PT and get acquainted to the local atmosphere while learning the amazing history of the city with an expert guide.Live a great adventure riding a segway across Barcelona's roads. You will start the tour with a brief but complete explanation followed by a training of the segways, right in the antique Gothic Quarter, already with a view of the Roman Walls, the oldest structures present in Barcelona, while learning the history around them. You will move along to the Old Port where you can enjoy the renewed shoreline, built for the 1992 Olympic Games, but already with much history regarding Christopher Columbus and the Spanish Discoveries of the New World, and the Universal Exhibition of 1929.
You will get acquainted to the very famous La Barceloneta, the typical fishermen and sailors neighborhood, and the tragic history of it's creation, until it's final release in the Olympic Games, with the construction of the Olympic Port and the Olympic Village, open aired spaces, much needed in the old town. You will visit the ground terrace of the Hotel W to have the perfect view of Barcelona's beautiful coastal line. You'll cruise trough the Ciudadella Park and the Arch of Triumph, whose history is intrinsically related with the expansion of Barcelona in the period of the Industrial Revolution, highlighted by the 1888's International Fair.
You will admire Antoni Gaudi's architecture masterpieces embellishing the busy modern avenues and promenades of Barcelona, making your way to the christian temple of La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's last and major monument to his beliefs, perhaps the most amazing art masterpiece in Barcelona, and the highest point of our modernism tour.
Finishing the tour you will still have time to go away of the historical center to see the modern area surrounding the Agbar Tower and one of the neuralgic points of the city, Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, where you can witness the ever-growing expansion of Barcelona.
Water and helmets are provided at the beginning of the tour.
