The Via Ferrata at the Sea to Sky Gondola provides an amazing alpine adventure suitable for children, families and all to enjoy. You are equipped with helmet, harness and via ferrata lanyards - lanyards are made up of 2 leashes that are clipped onto the cable for safety. The entire route is protected in this way.
Your journey begins at the harnessing deck, where you will be fitted with climbing equipment. Hike a short way down the Sea to Summit Trail amongst beautiful old growth forest to a lovely viewpoint of Howe Sound. The Via Ferrata starts at the “Flight Deck”, where your guide will clip you into the safety cable and your adventure begins!
Along your trip, you’ll traverse a catwalk, cross bridges, and ascend up glacier-worn granite aided by the steel rungs and the fixed cable system. Amongst stunning surroundings, you will bear witness to Howe Sound below, and the snow-capped peaks of Sky Pilot above. The route completes with a spectacular finish below the sun deck of the Sea to Sky Summit Lodge, where you can wind down with a cold beverage and watch other groups top out from below.
