Begin your small group sea kayak tour at 9:00am at Mere Point in Brunswick, where you'll meet your Master Maine Guide, Alice. Get outfitted with your life jacket, paddle, and be fitted to your sea kayak. Your small group will receive a short lesson on shore to get you ready, and then the sea kayaks will be carried down to the water to launch.
You'll paddle along the coastline exploring cottages built in the 1900's and talking about island living, while looking for osprey, great blue herons, herring and great black back gulls, sea ducks and possibly seals during lower tides. You might see a lobstermen fishing and you will paddle around the lobster buoys. Depending on weather conditions we'll choose an island to paddle to and take a snack break.
The route of your sea kayak tour will be determined by weather, tide, and wildlife. Your guide will always know which way to go to have the most fun! Following 'Leave No Trace' ethics, you are free to take pictures while exploring on the tour.
