Head out with your guide and ride to see local urban farmers that have turned their lawns into gardens, where they grow vegetables and fruits, make their own compost and showcase some of the local flora. At the Venice Learning Garden, you'll visit a local seed library that practices seed-saving to preserve genetic diversity in plant life while at Green Coast Hydroponics you'll be exposed to an expert grow store and staff. Pedal through community gardens and see state-of-the-art agricultural technology and energy-efficient gardening techniques that are changing the future of farming. The tour concludes with a true farm-to-table lunch experience at Tongva Park, with lunch provided by locally sourced produce from the surrounding Venice/Santa Monica area.
