It will visit the capital of the island and then move to Taganana a city within the Mountains of Anaga. We pass by the white sand beach of La Teresitas in San Andres from where we return through the Mercedes Forest.We take you to Santa Cruz , the capital of the island , after which we continue to Taganana. Located northeast of the island, between the Anaga mountains it has its own bay , the city was founded in 1494 by the official conqueror of Tenerife: Adelantado Fernández de Lugo. After landing on the island nailed a cross at what is today the cities historical event of which it is named. Its cosmopolitan port is one of the busiest in the Atlantic and connects Europe, Africa and America.
A few miles from Santa Cruz, we pass by San Andrés ( fishing village ) , spotted Teresitas: the most popular beach in Tenerife is artificial and was built in the early seventies with sand brought from the Sahara that buried a natural creek black volcanic sand. At that time, the area was expanded and the breakwater was added.
Then cross the Anaga mountains ( northeastern tip of the island ) until Taganana : one of the oldest villages in Tenerife, proves its unique architectural heritage composed of traditional houses and wineries of stone. This town also has an attractive network of paths for hiking. It has a scientific awakening interest due to its geological formations. Optionally, you can organize a lunch in the village of local fresh fish. The return journey is performed through the beautiful Mount of Mercedes, nature reserve laurel .
