An evening of paddling and watching the night sky. This twilight kayak trip is a great way to end a full day, and offers spectacular views of the city and beaches from a unique perspective on the water! While the sky’s transition from day to night is reflected on the water, our guides offer astronomy myths, pointing out constellations and visible planets.Guests meet their guides before sunset for a comprehensive kayaking lesson, and they outfit everyone in paddle jackets and PFDs. Guides will give a basic paddling demonstration and safety talk before setting out on the water. Then we head out to sea in single or double kayaks where we watch the colors change and stars appear. This is a great introductory lesson to kayaking or a nice relaxing kayak for more experienced paddlers! Once on the water, guests will paddle approximately 1-2 miles along the coast surrounded by beautiful beaches and marine life. The group will paddle through the harbor, paddling past boats, through the historic wharf, under the pier, out to buoys, and along the beach. 
Discussions of natural history and marine ecology, astronomy and current hot spots will be offered throughout the tour. For groups, guides can facilitate initiatives, games and more in depth paddle challenges for a fun and engaging way to bring your group together!
