What do you get when you mash up history, art, and culture, add a sprinkling of beaches and palaces, and mix it all up with some Basque charm on two wheels? On this bike tour you will ride all through San Sebastián. You will be taken through neighborhoods, from the touristy areas full of history to the workers district.
Your tour will start at the city centre. From this point you will have an overview of the main areas of the city. Your guide will explain the history of the city and how fate changed its' path. You will also see the fishing part, the commercial part and the elegant 'belle epoque' areas.
Your tour will then follow the bike path along La Concha beach up to the palace of Queen Maria Cristina, before arriving at Ondarreta beach. Here your tour guide will teach you how Sebastian designed its transportation services in order to be eco friendly and bike friendly, although the point where nature and civilisation met. You will then discover Basque modern art before exploring one of the city’s most authentic neighbourhoods and discovering a secret passage that connects two parts of the city.
Following the Urumea River back to the city centre, your tour will pass by beautiful villas and bourgeois palaces. You will also discover Kursaal, a building that’s linked with a kind of dark past. The last neighbourhood you will visit is the Gros district. There you will get to enjoy the wild of the ocean and admire some brave surfers along Zurriola Beach.
You will follow the bike path back through to the Bulevard street, and see San Sebastian from a different perspective.
