On this tour you'll see Union Square, City Hall, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks and pass China Town, Financial District, and St. Mary's Cathedral.The Golden Gate Bridge is an architectural masterpiece standing at a staggering 746 feet and spanning 8981 feet completed in 1937, it was the world’s longest suspension bridge until 1964. The captivating international orange color is a unique trait of the bridge.
An historic icon of San Francisco, the cable cars is the world's last manually operated cable car system. Running along California street, the cable car connects Union Square to Fisherman’s Wharf. Due to limited time, we are passing by only.
Union Square, located in downtown San Francisco, is a large open plaza with a towering monument commemorating The May 1st, 1898 Battle of Manila Bay. Surrounding the square is a variety of multi-level shopping centers and malls, practically a shopper’s paradise!
The Civic Center is recognized as a National Historic Landmark. It held meetings such as the creation and signing of the United Nations Charter and even the Treaty of San Francisco which ended the war between the United States and the Japanese Empire in 1951. With a large open plaza filled with many wondrous sculptures and monuments.
If you’re looking for a wide variety of food ranging from seafood to burgers, Fisherman’s Wharf is your destination. Located on the northern side of San Francisco, the wharf contains many shopping areas as well as seafood restaurants. One can’t help but notice the sea lion colony that has taken up residence on the wooden docks of Pier 39.
Lombard Street, the most crooked street in San Francisco, offers a unique experience for visitors. With antique Victorian mansions surrounding both sides of the street, Lombard Street contains some of the most expensive real estates located in San Francisco.
The Palace of Fine Arts is a monumental structure built in 1915. It was originally built to house the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. The palace now hosts many art exhibitions and remains a popular location for locals and tourist alike.
The Twin Peaks on a clear day offers an outstanding view of the entire city. It is famous for its 360-degree panoramic view of San Francisco when standing at the summit. Each peak even has its own unique name: Eureka Peak and Noe Peak.
San Francisco Chinatown, largest Chinatown outside of Asia, houses many Chinese style shops, markets, restaurants, and temples. It is renowned for its delectable food and exquisite architecture. Many of the buildings feature Chinese style roofs and stylized street lamps. On Grant Avenue at Bush Street a gateway arch hangs over the street, welcoming all who come and go.
Visit St. Mary's Cathedral, a uniquely modern designed church with a saddle style roof crowned with a 55ft golden cross. See the inside of the church, featuring walls lined with stained glass depicting biblical art.
