This tour will take you to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira, an architectural structure built within a salt mine that is considered as the first marvel of Colombia. Within the mine you will find a series of architectural and artistic designs that combined with the effects of light create beautiful images of symbols on the walls and ceiling of the cavernous spaces.This 5-hour tour will take you to Zipaquirá, a small historical town north of the city of Bogotá and home to one of the most important salt mines of Colombia for its economical, cultural and historical value.
Transportation will pick you up in the location of your choosing and take you to the Zipaquira Salt Mine. Once you reach the mine, you can take one of the guided tours in Spanish (every 10 minutes) or English (every hour) and learn about the history of the mine and the cathedral within it.
Also, inside the mine you will learn about the process of salt formation, part of the mining process and witness an incredible light show that will make your day truly magical.
Once you have finished your visit, the transport will take you back to the location of your choosing in the city of Bogotá.
