Your 6-hour salmon run canoe adventure begins at the Harrison Boat Launch in the morning. Meet your expert guide, settle into your canoe and prepare for an adventure as you set out on the crystal-clear waters of the Harrison River.
Paddle across the river with your guide leading the way. Listen as your guide tells you about the canoe’s importance in First Nations and Canadian history and tells stories about the 2,000-year-old First Nations pictographs you’ll see along the way. Enjoy views of the stunning scenery, vast mountains and blue waters. Keep a keen eye out for wildlife such as seals, bald eagles, ospreys, black bears and, of course, salmon.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch and traditional First Nations bannock (a kind of quick bread) on the riverbank, as well as other breaks along the way for spotting wildlife and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Pass by the historic Harrison Hot Springs and Kilby Store before returning to shore at the end of the day.
