Take an exhilarating ride through bustling Saigon on a motorbike with your own personal tour buddy. This tour takes you off the tourist trail to see the real Saigon with our enthusiastic guides. Sip freshly made Vietnamese coffee and juice as we take you to the best spot to see the skyline, visit a centuries old pagoda and an amazing local wet market. Explore some beautiful colonial architecture and finish your tour with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. The tour starts at 8.30am when we pick you up from your hotel (or a central meeting point if you prefer). We give you a quick introduction to being on the bike and then off we go. First stop is for freshly made Vietnamese coffee and freshly squeezed juice, we spend about 20 mins at a location offering the best views of the city. At this point we also meet up with the other tour guides and guests if we have them. We take photos, chat and get to know each other. After coffee and juice we head off to a local wet market. This is a working market far from the tourist area and a great window into the daily life of the stallholders and customers. Here we see Vietnamese locals making their daily shop for fish, crabs, meat and all kinds of fruit, spices and vegetables. Our knowledgeable guides will be with you to answer any questions, point out the sights and sounds and help you make any purchases. At the market we will taste some local fresh fruits such as Jackfruit, Papaya and even the pungent Durian. We spend around 30 mins at the market before we move on to see some classic colonial architecture. We travel to Saigon Central Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral where our university educated guides will escort you around the sights giving you a unique insight into the French colonial legacy from the perspective of a local. After experiencing the the sights we take a seat in the adjacent park for chilled coconut juice straight out of the shell. From here we travel around 15 minutes on the bike deep into Saigon's chinatown to visit one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. Your own personal guide who is fluent in English will be able to describe the rituals and workings of the pagoda, you can even light a lucky incense ribbon just like the local worshippers and hope your wish comes true. We will be in the pagoda for around 30 minutes to reflect and contemplate away from the hustle and bustle of the city. After we leave the pagoda we will head to a local restaurant specialising in a Vietnamese delicacy - we can choose from Pho, Bun Bo Hue and many other dishes - its up to you what you want to try. Of course we have options for Vegetarians and guests with food allergies, and all food and drink is included in the price of your tour. After lunch we will say our goodbyes and drop you back at your hotel or centrally in HCMC if you prefer.
