Canoe Safaris offer a great way to get up close and personal with some of the amazing wildlife that lives on and around the, tranquil, River Stour (and its Estuary).
We meet at Cattawade Picnic Site (CO11, 10 mins walk from Manningtree Stn), following a quick welcome chat / safety briefing, participants will paddle together with a Warden from RSPB Flatford up to Flatford Mill (immortalized John Constables' 'Haywain') and back again, en route our wonderful team of wardens will talk you through all the wildlife seen, past safaris have come across: Heron, Egyptian Geese, Black Swan, Otter, Kingfisher, Marsh Harriers, Reed Warbles and Kingfisher - no guarantees that they'll be out on every safari!
