This 5-hour adventure takes you on an open-sea kayaking expedition towards the South of Pulau Ubin to the lesser-known Ketam Island, providing breathtaking scenery and challenging your paddling techniques.
Literally translated as "crab island" from the Malay language, Pulau Ketam is a narrow strip of land across a channel from the South of Ubin. Aquaculture thrives on the southern edge of the island and wildlife such as white-bellied eagles and grey herons can be spotted around the island. If we are lucky enough we will also get the chance to view an otter’s nest, it really is a delight to see these close up.
Learn paddling skills for better efficiency such as using the core muscles to kayak instead of arm strength, and moving sideways using the "J-draw" and "Classic draw", to name a few. If you are a first time paddler these can all be taught by our expert guide.
No prerequisites are required for this adventure, and this is truly the ideal challenge for those looking to push their physical boundaries. Not to worry though, our experienced guides are here to help you and will tailor the speed of the journey according to your limits.
