Discover Rome’s ghostly sights and hidden delights with this Super Saver that combines two quirky tours at one discounted price. In the afternoon, set off on a 3.5-hour tour of the city’s underground catacombs, the Basilica of San Clemente and the Capuchin Crypt. Wander the Appian Way, learn about Christianity in Ancient Rome and see a chapel made from monks' bones. Then, after free time to explore the Eternal City independently, join back up with your guide in the evening for a 1.5-hour ghost and mystery walking tour.
Skip the Line: Crypts and Roman Catacombs Tour (3.5 Hours)
Meet your guide in central Rome and then set off for Appian Way. One of the world’s longest roads, it’s also home to the city’s catacombs. Skip past the entrance lines and descend into the Domitilla Catacombs (Catacomb di Santa Domitilla) with your guide. Discover how Rome’s early Christians used the tunnels as burial chambers as well as a place of worship when Christianity was banned.

Next, travel by coach to the Basilica of San Clemente. A one-of-a-kind church, the basilica actually comprises three buildings each built on top of the other. Skip the lines and head inside to explore with your guide.

Your final stop of the tour is at the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione, where you’ll discover the Capuchin Crypts. Visit the crypt’s museum to see Caravaggio’s St Francis in Meditation painting as well as other relics about St Francis, Italy’s patron saint. Then, head into the jaw-dropping crypts, where you’ll find a chapel made entirely from human bones.

Your tour concludes outside the chapel. You’ll then have around 3 hours of free time to continue sightseeing independently until your evening tour.

Ghost and Mystery Walking Tour of Rome (1.5 Hours)
After the sun sets, make your own way to Sant'Andrea della Valle church near the banks of the Tiber River. After meeting your expert guide and group, set off on foot to explore the Eternal City’s most enthralling historical and supernatural mysteries.

Wander the winding streets of the historical city center and hear spine-chilling stories about ghostly apparitions as well as fascinating legends and mysteries. As you delve into Rome’s murky past, wonder at the city’s sights illuminated against the night sky. Pass through Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and stroll through Campo de' Fiori and Palazzo Farnese. See also the charming Via Giulia and the atmospheric Via del Governo Vecchio near Piazza Navona.

After roughly 1.5 hours, your tour concludes by the imposing Castel Sant'Angelo.
