Join us on our highly acclaimed weekend Brunch Tour that features a little of everything; history, architecture, spectacular views, great storytelling and of course, a delicious brunch. For one price, guests receive a fascinating walking tour and scrumptious brunch at Filini in the Radisson Blu Hotel!River Walk Brunch Tour begins at 9:30 am sharp at Peet's Coffee & Tea - 400 North Michigan Avenue - Wrigley Building Plaza. While enjoying fresh coffee, tea or bottled water, guests listen to riveting stories about Chicago history, architecture and popular culture. After a brief introduction, guests are introduced to the iconic Wrigley and Tribune Buildings, Intercontinental Hotel, "Magnificent Mile", Pioneer Court and the Chicago River.
After a stroll across Chicago's famous Michigan Avenue Bridge (now officially the Du Sable Bridge), the tour transitions from Chicago's famous "Magnificent Mile" to its lesser known twin - "Cultural Mile" - Michigan Avenue south of the river.. The first leg of this journey is about 45 minutes and allows enough time for guests to build up a pleasant appetite.
Guests then stop at Filini Restaurant in the Radissson Blu Hotel for a fabulous breakfast buffet. The brunch features everything a traditional breakfast buffet has to offer including; fruit, pastry, cereal, eggs, toast, muffins, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, meats, hash, made to order omelets and so much more including coffee, orange juice and water. Brunch lasts from 45 minutes to a hour.
After brunch, guests head to Chicago's newly expanded River Walk for the second leg of entertaining storytelling and calorie burning! Along the way, guests will hear more interesting stories about Chicago and make a couple stops along the River Walk. In 2016, three additional "rooms" will open including the Water Plaza, Jetty and Boardwalk. The new River Walk promises to be one of the city's newest and best entertainment options for visitors and locals alike.
Along the River Walk, guests will hear and discuss interesting stories about Chicago's past, present and future including some of the following; Chicago River & Harbor, River Reversal, Chicago Shipping and Sanitation Canal, Presidential Nominating Conventions, S.S. Eastland Disaster and so much more.
In addition, guests will view and discuss some of the following architectural gems; Aqua & Aon Buildings, Trump Tower, Hard Rock Hotel, Mather Tower, Jewelers Building, Marina City, Wolf Point, River Point and 150 North Riverside, Lyric Opera House and so many more.
