Rios de Hielo express is a navigation on Lake Argentino that allows tourists to visit other important glaciers inside Los Glaciares National Park. Visitors will sight-see the Icebergs Channel in front of the Upsala glacier, the Seco and Spegazzini glacier, the highest in the park. Regular or group tour.By 7:15am tourists will be picked up from their hotels and transferred to Punta Bandera´s harbor (47 km from El Calafate). At 8:30am, after paying the entrance to the national park (not included), we embark on the vessel and set sail onto Lake Argentino´s frozen waters, scattered with icebergs.
We sail the northern part of the lake until reaching the Upsala Channel where we will meet a splendid barrier of icebergs. Later we move to the Spegazzini glacier viewpoint from where we will also see the glacier Seco. Spegazzini is the highest glacier in the national park, topping 135 meters in height. Afterwards we will sail through another channel of icebergs, which is our last stop in the visit.
We return to Punta Bandera´s wharf by 2 pm.
