To find the best and safest environmental conditions we have to cross the Lunigiana’s borders towards Liguria, up North to the Vara Valley, in the heart of the Natural Park of Montemarcello and toward the Garfagnana area, in the WWF protected area of the Lima river.It is indisputable that river rafting is fun! It is considered an extreme sport having a high level of danger involved, but, if a trained professional raft guide is in charge of your trip and the water is not too rough, it becomes a thrilling experience, a challenging outdoor activity suitable even for young kids and families.

For those of you who don’t know much about it, rafting has become safer over the years: to navigate a river an inflatable raft is used; the raft is manoeuvred by participants with a double paddle. To find the best and safest environmental conditions we have to cross the Lunigiana’s borders towards Liguria, up North to the Vara Valley, in the heart of the Natural Park of Montemarcello and toward the Garfagnana area, in the WWF protected area of the Lima river.

You will be accompanied by a certified guide of the Italian Rafting Federation. It is compulsory to attend the activity to be able to swim.
