Discover what you can do with White Water Discovery, the perfect introductory trip for someone who is new to river rafting, but still wants to experience some of our biggest whitewater. Our Discovery trip rafts the upper and middle sections of the Kicking Horse River, and it combines some of the best scenery and whitewater this river has to offer.This trip is great for people new to the sport because it starts with the calmest section and gradually builds into exciting class 3 and class 4 rapids. You’ll enjoy our riverside barbeque lunch (please advise your lunch preference at the time of booking) and then move on to the excitement of the middle canyon. The middle canyon starts with a 1 kilometer stretch of class 4 whitewater and from there it continues through various class 3 and class 4 rapids.
Make it a quick trip by selecting White Water Express, which is perfect for anyone who wants an exciting bit of whitewater, but is on a time crunch. White Water Express is our shortest trip and it gets right into the big stuff in the middle canyon of the Kicking Horse River. The Express contains a lot of very fun whitewater, starting off with a 1 km stretch of class 4 rapids known as ‘Portage and Shotgun’. It’s followed by many more class 3 and class 4 hits; rapids such as Roller Coaster, Twin Towers and Last Waltz.
