See one of the Seven Wonders of Ancient World - the Pyramids of Giza. Stand at the foot of the Great Pyramids, built for Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, and guarded by the Great Sphinx. Complete your tour with a visit to Amir Taz Palace in Cairo.You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairo and transferred to the Pyramids of Giza on the West bank of Nile. On top of Giza plateau rise the three pyramids, erected by Cheops, Chepren and .Vlycerinus and guarded by the mysterious Sphinx. The three Pyramids and the Sphinx are considered the most important tourist site in Egypt. The Great pyramid, built by King Cheops (IV Dynasty) covers an area of 13 acres. Its height, originally 146 meters (479 feet), has now became 137 meters (449 feet) after the erosion of its summit. Ancient Egyptians' aim in building the pyramids was that they should serve as sepulchers for their Pharaohs to preserve their bodies, for they believed in resurrection and immortality. Close to the eastern flank of the pyramid of Cheops lie three small pyramids dedicated to his wives or family members. King Chefren, the son of Cheops. built the second pyramid. Its height reaches 136 meters (446 feet). The third pyramid was built in the reign of "Menkaura" the son of Chefren, its height is 62 meters (203 feet).
After, continue to a bazaar for a free Egyptian drink and a chance to purchase some souvenirs. Then, you will be taken to a first class restaurant for lunch. After the lunch visit Amir Taz Palace, located on the intersection of Saliba Street and Suyufiyya Street, which forms the main entrance to Medieval Cairo. It was originally built in 1352 by a Mamluk belonging to one of Sultan Qalawun's sons. The palace of Emir Taz was remodeled several times, most notably in the 17th century. In the 19th century, it became a girl's school, and has then been used as a storage depot by the Ministry of Education. Recently, the palace has undergone major renovations, and is now open for touristic visits in the morning, with a new area that includes exhibitions of the palace's property. After visit to the palace you will be transferred back to your hotel and this tour will be over.
