Carara is one of the best places in Costa Rica to see the large and colorful scarlet macaw and many other bird species, as well as a variety of forest animals.This tour will take you on a hike along a short, slightly hilly, loop trail through the forest, near the park headquarters, and along a flat, walk able road between the forest edge and the River Tárcoles, where American crocodile s are commonly seen along the banks.
The climate ranges from hot and dry (mid-November to April) to hot and humid, during the rainy season (the rest of the year), so wear comfortable and fresh clothes. After a fantastic walk a delicious lunch will be served.
