After hotel pickup in Punta Cana, you’re driven to Cap Cana’s Scape Park, a nature-based theme park located on the Dominican Republic’s eastern tip. On arrival, start your eco-tour with a guided walk along the Iguabonita Cave Ecological Trail, stopping at various plant stations to learn about the flora and fauna, including native species of the Caribbean islands.

Discover spicewood, cactus, ferns and bromeliads, and keep an eye out for iguanas en route to the lookout point of El Farallon Cliff. Pass over a bridge and hike up the 328-foot (100-meter) slope, which extends along the coast and provides sweeping views.

Upon reaching the mouth of Iguabonita Cave, don your helmet and descend a steep wooden staircase, following your guide along the eco-trail through an underground network of chambers and tunnels. See illuminated limestone formations, shine your headlamp on icicle-shaped stalactites hanging from the cavern ceiling, and look up into the sunlit cave opening before you emerge.

Your 2-hour tour ends with drop-off at your Punta Cana hotel.
