This tour takes you to a hidden waterfall in between the mountains just outside of Puerto Plata and will have you experience up close and personal the overwhelming flora and fauna of this tropical island.
You'll be picked up from your hotel by safari truck and taken on a short drive outside of the city passing by small villages with quaint wooden houses and lovely gardens with flowers.
Once you've arrived in the mountains, you'll set off on hike of about 40 minutes. Walk through fields, riverbeds, uphill and downhill and then get to the most beautiful and gorgeous crystal clear waterfall that fortunately is only in use by some of the locals living close by.
Splash around, have a swim, let the water cascade down on you, it is so refreshing! After all this, you'll board the truck again for a well-deserved lunch at a mountain eco lodge situated at an altitude of 1000 feet offering breath taking views of the mountains and the ocean and where a delicious meal is served, made with organic home grown island fresh vegetables and fruit, a real treat! (Includes a nice glass of chilled white wine too!)
