This wine tour combines lovely moments while being surrounded by Sicilian rural areas and vineyards set in a delightful location, plus a journey back in time to Selinunte where the Greeks left their heritage with amazing ruins which are considered among the most important in the Mediterranean. Tours are customizable and available for larger groups as well. The island is renowned for the many outstanding wines, some of them produced in this area, which is famous for a great wine and olive oil production, but also for the soft hilly landscape and pleasant sandy beaches. Sicily has more vineyards than any other Italian regions competing for first place as the largest wine producer. It's the perfect place to breathe the tranquility of the real, rural Sicily of centuries past.
Pick up at your hotel and drive into the "Sicilian Tuscany", south of Palermo.

This morning we'll visit a renowed local winery which is embedded in a charming and unique context. Its variety of excellent wines, cellars and vineyards, olive oil and typical traditional food makes this destination a special place. During the wine tasting session you'll get more familiar with the local grapes from the area, and the possibility for a light lunch at the winery.

Following we continue, for a guided tour, towards the archeological area of Selinunte. The ancient site is composed of the Acropolis and the sanctums on the eastern hill. The archeological park is also the most extensive and impressive of Europe: it includes several temples, part of the excavated ancient city and a beautiful landscape. Drive back to Palermo in the late afternoon.
