9:00 am
The tour begins in Carol Park and the first attraction is the Heroes' Mausoleum.
9:30 am
Head to the House of the People, the major communist icon of Romania and the second largest administrative building in the world.
10:00am
Take a guided tour of the House of the People. Bring your ID and only cash for the entrance fee. Only from Wednesday to Sunday.
11:30am
Walk around the communist Civic Center and visit two beautiful churches relocated to escape the demolitions ordered by the communist regime. Then head to the Old City Center for lunch.
12:20pm
Lunch in the Old City Center (at own expense).
1:15pm
Visit the museum exhibition of the Memorial of Victims of Communism.
1:50pm
Walk to the 21 December Square, one of the key locations of the Revolution from 1989 and the protests that followed in the early months of 1990. Afterwards, visit the Revolution Square, one of the key locations of the Revolution from 1989.
To reach the next location from the itinerary, you will take the subway, a major infrastructure project of the communist regime and one of its most important achievements in Bucharest. Take the subway from Piata Romana, a station that was built in secret because it didn't fit with the plans of the dictatorial couple.

Visit the former residence of the dictatorial couple Ceausescu, recently opened for visitation.

Enjoy a nice walk through Herastrau Park to the last landmark of the itinerary, the former Scanteia House, the symbol of state-controlled propaganda and mass-media.
