Your private guide and vehicle will be waiting for you for an early morning transfer to the airport. Following the flight to Ankara city, you will travel to Cappadocia region by car; passing by the infinite whiteness of the Salt Lake.
Day 1
As your travel will actually follow the ancient Silk Road, nothing is more suitable than a refreshing stop at an authentic travelers’ inn, the Ağzıkarahan Caravanserai, which was built in the 13th century by the Selçuk Empire.
Your first visit in the Cappadoccia region will be the Kaymaklı or the Derinkuyu, one the underground cities, where early Christians found refuge.You may then opt for lunch, either in a fish or meat restaurant with a selection of local Cappadocia wines.
The afternoon will be a great time to see the magnificent scenes offered by the unique nature of the region, capture moments in pictures on in videos. An elegant dinner and a magical night’s rest at the authentic Cappadocia Lodge Hotel which will help you to absorb the day’s marvels. (Optional tours to a simple wine house or to a local folkloric performance after dinner are available).
Day 2
After breakfast visiting the open-air Museum of Goreme with its chuches hewn out of rock and colorful frescos, Karanlik Church which has recently been restored and presented to the treasure of the world, Soganlı Valley, Cavusin Village and Pasabag Valley with Fair Chimneys.
Other sites to visit will be the Pigeon Valley, the Avcılar Valley, the Zelve Valley and Avanos, the pottery village with an optional lunch in a local restaurant. You will then drive to Kayseri, a city that has been known to be the homeland of some of Turkey’s most prominent businessmen, for a flight back to Istanbul. You will be then transferred from the Istanbul Ataturk Airport to your hotel.
